Spotted – for all the fathers and daughters…

November 10, 2010

“Father And Daughter” by Michael Dudok de Wit – 2000
73rd Academy Awards Winner for Best Animated Short Film & 54th BAFTA Winner for Best Short Animation.

“A father says goodbye to his young daughter and leaves. As the wide Dutch landscapes live through their seasons so the girl lives through hers. She becomes a young woman, has a family and in time she becomes old, yet within her there is always a deep longing for her father.”
A heartbreaking masterpiece, told in simple lines, colours and shades.
